I came to Nepal web after I read about the installation of such turbine in Vietnam (alternative-energy blog). It's said that it cost approximately US$20 di Vietnam.

I really hope the price doesn't differ much here in Indonesia. I surely will contact Mr. S, or even visit his office in Jakarta

I fear that you are going to be very disappointed when you learn about our micro-hydro generator prices because the $20 price that you have read about refers to very unreliable units that have been imported (smuggled in) from China. There is no way you could expect to buy any better quality units landed in Indonesia for ten times that figure.

So I think you can forget about buying any products from us.

Hmmm... something wrong here. Saya terima saja kalau memang harganya mahal, jauh lebih mahal, atau mahal tak terjangkau. Tp kalau sampai dia bilang 'you can forger about buying any products from us', rasanya tidak wajar.

Saya benci model-model begini. Orang miskin nggak perlulah teknologi. Kesannya begitu (kesan saya sebagai orang miskin).

I was really excited to know that it cost US$20 in Vietnam, for I believe at that cost the turbine could be very useful for Indonesian people. We have plenty of low head water.

As for my self, I just need it for my hobby. I'm an electrical engineer. A small stream crosses near my house, and I want to have some hydroelectric power so the children in my neighborhood can see it, hopefully learn from it.

We're considering submersible type cost at least US$1500. Do you think we should forget your product?

If the intended use of the PowerPal Low Head unit is only for hobby use, I think our prices landed in Jakarta will be much too high for you. But by all means have a talk to Mr. Iwansantoso, and then the decision is entirely yours. The $20 price in Vietnam is not representative of real prices elsewhere.
